Topology of Time & Up Express etc. is Eucalyptus' seventh release since 2012, and their second for Telephone Explosion Records.

The album feels much more relaxed from the outset, its brief opening drift foregoing percussion altogether to direct attention to its sumptuous melody. The other thing that is immediately established is a newfound sense of intimacy. Captured in a single afternoon, essentially live off the floor at Toronto's Union Sound, the record was made directly after the band's appearance at the 2023 Guelph Jazz Festival.
